Boopey makes her neighborhood rounds, spreading giggles and mischief. One day, Boopey decides to pitch rocks at a van and learns the hard way that bad behavior won’t get rewards. Once the three get home Boopey reveals to her younger sister Lo that her antics are not just based on bad behavior, but rather are a response to the negative attention she gets for having shorter hair and darker skin.
While her coping methods may not be the best, Boopey manages to capture her audience with her witty charm and honest personality.

Once the plan is executed, Momma awakes and stops the process. The children learn all the possible outcomes to baking a cake at night – all alone, with no adult supervision.
In the end, Boopey gains a new fundamental rule: Do tell if there is safety involved!
Book three introduces Boopey to a new challenge: a girl named Rosalind. Rosalind is the oldest child in the family. She not only protects her siblings, but she also refuses to allow Boopey to take charge of situations.
After an all-out battle over candy, the two of them end up in the principa’s office and both learn a new lesson about taking control. They also discover the value of friendship.
